When Helen wanted a GSD bitch to get back into competitive obedience, it was Feista who chose to be that girl. What an amazing journey and she couldn’t have wished for a better partner. They competed in obedience up to Test C, gaining an Excellent medal at Otago GSD show for qualifying 290+ in Test C. They also competed in Agility together, gaining many Clear Round Certificates and ADX (Agility Dog Excellent)
Feista was a true ambassador for the versatility and working ability of the breed, also gaining qualifications in working trials, and completing the 20 km Endurance Test and Working Qualification, run by the GSDAC.
Feista represented Zone 4 in both obedience (Test B ) and Working Trials (UD) at the National Dog Obedience Assembly
After her retirement from competition, Feista continued to help with the training of our puppies, and also the many dogs whose owners brought them to the Issues Classes Helen ran for many years, helping to give confidence and social skills and demonstrating obedience skills.
Feista celebrated her 15th birthday with an afternoon tea and in excellent health. However 6 days later as the result of an injury, we had to say goodbye to this special girl.
