Vando came to us from Jo and Darrin of Eichenmacht Kennels in December of 2005, as a young Open dog, with the aim of preparing him for the 2006 German Shepherd National, to be held in the following November. Along the way, we discovered a true gentleman of the breed, with rock solid temperament; a dog who asked little, yet gave his all.
As much as anyone, Vando worked tirelessly for those 11 months, transforming from a raw adolescent, into a mature male, worthy of the Open Class. The result is shown above, as he achieved 3rd Open Dog, and Bronze Medal Dog, under SV judge Hans Peter Fetten.
A special thanks to Amy Field, whose skillful handling gave Vando the opportunity to shine that day.
Sadly, Vando left us in February 2015, at the ripe age of 12 years and 3 months.
